Born and raised in Northern California, Cadyn's story is one of unwavering determination. Diagnosed with Morquio Syndrome, she participated in trial studies during her youth, paving the way for the approval of Vimazin—a life-changing drug now helping others with the same condition. This selfless act epitomizes her lifelong commitment to creating a better world for others.

Cadyn’s early years were marked by achievements that demonstrated her incredible talents and resilience. From excelling in choir and cheerleading to becoming a skilled pianist and a valued member of the League City Challengers’ baseball team, Cadyn’s passions were as diverse as they were inspiring. Her high school journey saw her lettering in varsity choir and achieving a major milestone—earning her driver’s license, an accomplishment she thought might never be possible due to her dwarfism.

Through the support of Stromatt Rehabilitation and United Access, Cadyn learned to drive and had her car specially modified. This milestone became a symbol of her independence and determination, reflecting her belief that nothing is out of reach with perseverance and the right support.

A Queen of Advocacy and Representation

As the 2023 Miss Texas Royalty Ultimate Queen, Cadyn has used her platform to amplify the voices of those in the special needs community. Her reign has been marked by advocacy, education, and empowerment. Cadyn’s message is clear: disabilities do not define a person’s worth or potential.

Her pageant director, Shelly Garrido, worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for Cadyn to shine. Whether attending events, appearing on The Kelly Williams Show and Houston Life, or walking prestigious runways like Runway of Dreams Foundation’s Fashion Revolution and WOW Wear, Cadyn has consistently challenged perceptions and championed inclusion.

A Legacy of Giving Back

Cadyn’s impact extends beyond advocacy. Inspired by the global support her family received during her medical journey, they founded Cruising for Cadyn Adopt a Family. This initiative has brought joy and support to families in need for 16 years, embodying the spirit of giving and gratitude.

A Vision for the Future

Currently attending college and an active member of both the Greater Houston/Dallas/Louisiana and National Little People of America chapters, Cadyn continues to set goals and exceed them. Her short-term aim is to graduate with an associate degree, but her lifetime goal is to live as independently as possible, showing the world that disabilities are no barrier to achieving dreams.
