As a child, James grappled with behavioral challenges, hyperactivity, and the necessity of taking medication to manage his diagnoses. Watching his father play the drums ignited a spark in young James. That spark grew into a blazing passion, leading him to become a skilled drummer. Through music, James discovered a talent and a lifeline—a way to express himself and connect with the world beyond words.

The Skittlez Band: Breaking Boundaries

In 2015, James joined The Skittlez Band, a groundbreaking special needs cover band whose mission is to prove that disability is no barrier to talent. Last year, they embarked on their first-ever Texas tour, becoming the only known special needs cover band in Texas and possibly the entire United States. Through their performances, The Skittlez Band shatters stereotypes and inspires audiences, showing that music is a universal language that transcends limitations.

The King Lives On

As if drumming wasn’t enough, James added another feather to his cap: Elvis impersonator. Since 2022, he has paid tribute to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, channeling Elvis’s charisma and charm in performances that leave audiences in awe.

Beyond his accomplishments, James treasures the simple joys of life. With his fiancée Ashley, James shares a love for live music, wrestling matches, and creating memories together.
